For participation in the international online conference:
The TEC International Online Day is held annually to promote tolerance, strengthen intercultural connections, foster educational collaboration, and apply innovative models to break down stereotypes and build trust among diverse groups in Israeli society. The event is organized in partnership with the Mofet Institute, Ministry of Education, Near Organization, UNESCO-Bar Ilan University, and various international organizations.
In recent years, as AI technologies increasingly shape the field of education, questions of equity, racism, and algorithmic bias have become more significant than ever. Despite the global commitment to promoting dialogue, empathy, and social justice, we are witnessing a rise in discrimination, racism, and social alienation—phenomena that are sometimes amplified by technological systems that are not neutral. Therefore, the role of teachers and educators is to develop intercultural competence and critical thinking to navigate the complexities of the modern classroom, reduce bias, and create equitable and safe learning environments.
The online event, scheduled for April 15, 2026, will feature experts, organizations, and NGOs dedicated to promoting education for equality and social change. Throughout the day, participants will engage in theoretical lectures, professional panels, and interactive workshops led by leading researchers and educators from Israel, Europe, and the United States. The sessions will address the impact of AI on the dynamics of racism, representation, and equal opportunities, and will offer practical tools to address the challenges of the digital age.
The event is designed for a diverse range of participants, including students, teachers, school principals, lecturers, researchers, policymakers, and organizations dedicated to promoting equity and enhancing intercultural competence within the education system.
The conference aims to deepen intercultural dialogue, expose participants to current theories related to equity and racism in the age of AI, and inspire the development of innovative educational practices that integrate theoretical knowledge with experiential learning.
Simultaneous translation into English, Arabic and Hebrew will be available.
