Dr. Elaine Hoter has been a pioneer in online collaborative learning since 1995. She is a senior lecturer at Talpiot College in Holon, Israel. In 2001, she organized and led the first international online conference for teacher educators. In 2005, she co-founded the Technology, Education and Cultural Diversity (TEC) Center in Israel, which has become a leading organization for intercultural education in higher education and schools in Israel.
Today, she is at the forefront of innovative pedagogy in education, particularly in the development and research of the metaverse for education. She leads two MOOC projects: one on intercultural education and the other on spoken English for academic purposes. Both courses take place in virtual worlds. She has delivered lectures and workshops on every continent and is a Fulbright alumna.
